El ránking lo lidera el mismísimo Jimi Hendrix por su interpretación de Machine Gun, seguido de cerca por grandes guitarristas de Rock y Blues como B.B. King, Eric Clapton y Robert Jhonson. Más atrás aparece Kirk Hammett en la posición número 11 por su participación en Welcome Home Sanitarium, detrás de Keith Richards y delante de Kurt Cobain que aparece en la lista por su exitazo (y gran riff) Smells Like Teen Spirit.
